Business Analyst Consultant - Oracle Implementation Solutions
Title: Business Analyst Consultant - Oracle Implementation Solutions Location: TX-Round Rock General Summary: As part of the Finance Transformation team, the Business Analyst position will participate in gathering and defining business requirements for strategic programs, and translate those requirements into best-practice Oracle implementation solutions. The Business Analyst will act as the subject matter expert for the team in proper setup, configuration, integration, test and go-live of processes enabled on Oracle GL, GIS, FA, PA, AP, PO, Hyperion and DRM. Business processes will include quote to cash, procure to pay, project billing/costing, close and forecasting. Applications and projects will be global in nature.
Principle Duties: Acting in the role of Business Analyst, this person will be responsible for the following:
* Identify and document current state processes, future state requirements, process flows, system flows, and data flows per project methodology * Partner with IT organization to translate requirements into technical specifications per Oracle application AIM methodology with an eye towards simplifying processes via standard Oracle functionality * Coordinate as appropriate with other Finance/Operational organizations to define and develop business processes in support of systems changes and drive ownership * Develop process scenarios/test scripts and actively test changes and track progress during various project team testing cycles (CRP, SIT, performance) * Coordinate end user testing during UAT and work to drive all issues/defects to resolution * Coordinate Finance launch, end-user training, communication, business readiness, user acess, etc. * Manage relationship between IT and Finance with regards to timing, deliverables, etc * Understand project status and ongoing resource utilization to support efficient portfolio delivery * Work with Finance to continuously analyze overall processes and identify changes to streamline activities and drive down costs * Drive resolution of issues back into appropriate Finance/other teams to remove barriers for project completion
Individual will work with finance and cross-functional team members across all regions. International travel will be required, especially around key testing and launch periods. The position will require ability to persuade and influence others, ability to gather, monitor and document business requirements, implementation knowledge of Oracle GL, GIS, FA, PA AP, PO, Hyperion and DRM, and solid verbal and written communication skills. Candidate must have experience in project management, financial systems, Oracle project implementations (versions R12 or 11.5.10 ), and testing/readiness methodologies. Preference will be given to candidates that possess a business degree with a major in Accounting or Accounting designation and Familiarity with AICPA SOP 81-1, EITF 08-1/00-21 and FAS 91 in the context of a Professional Services organization. Candidate is required to have advanced understanding of business processes and ability to consider implications to current and future state business environment. Candidates will be able to demonstrate the following competencies: command skills, drive for results, financial acumen and dealing with ambiguity. Prefer Bachelor’s degree and 5–8 years experience with 4 years experience in business process analysis, requirements definition and process mapping.
