The Business Analyst Consultant position will be responsible for driving business objectives and financial initiatives for the APJ Services Delivery organization.
Functions include, but are not limited to the following:
* Supporting the APJ Director of Global Service Delivery, serve as both business owner and key liaison between the business and other segments to drive execution of key strategic initiatives. * Manage forecasting and outlook processes for the APJ Service Delivery Organization. The role requires the candidate to implement forecasting/budgeting, and financial reporting packages. * The candidate will also develop and coordinate with global peers to identify and compar regional services costs and implementation of case-based forecasting models and processes * Perform pricing, cost, and margin analysis, assist in business case development, and perform various ad hoc analyses. * Participate with senior management to establish strategic direction and objectives, establish priorities, and develop roadmaps for business execution. * Responsible for analyzing and evaluating financial plans as they relate to the overall business. * Provide strategic financial management and leadership to the APJ Service Delivery organization. * Review existing processes, tools and controls for opportunities to improve effectiveness and to transfer best of breed practices across business units and the regions. * Provide business updates to senior management and coordinates all aspects of the quarterly forecast process. * Serve as a liaison between the APJ Service Delivery business and other Dell Departments (e.g. Finance, HR, IT, etc.). * Perform business analysis to determine opportunities for improving revenue and profitability.
This team member must have strong business partnering skills, and will consult with business partners on various projects and analysis. Ability to perform ad-hoc business case analysis in addition to rising above the detail to understand the overall business environment is key.
The candidate will be responsible for preparing and delivering executive presentations. This position's responsibilities and projects range from the simple to complex and require the use of analytical modeling and business problem solving.
Qualifications: * The successful candidate should be customer focused and comfortable around all levels of management. The candidate must be a self starter and be able to perform day to day activities effectively, with little supervision. * Must possess strong command skills and be very comfortable implementing change and dealing with ambiguity. This position requires strong analytical and problem solving skills, as well as exceptional excel and strong Powerpoint skills. * Experience in a services business or organization is strongly desired. * Bachelors Degree in Finance, Economics, or Accounting with 6 years experience or equivalent training and experience * MBA is desirable
