City / Ville Edmonton Province Alberta [AB] Title / Titre Business Analyst Job ID 11861 Position Overview / Vue d'ensemble du poste Our Edmonton client requires an IT professional with proven experience in the area of business analysis. This individual will function in the role of both leader and contributor on various IT projects scheduled for 2012. The individual will be supported in their activities by two senior Project Managers.
Start Date: February 2012 End Date: December 2012
Responsibilities * Work in close collaboration with project managers and business users to gather, analyze and document requirements for projects. * Lead the user requirements definition process by facilitating meetings, documenting requirements, reporting, and determining timelines. * Create, write and distribute project documentation including but not limited to Business Requirements, Use Cases, and Test Plans.
Education & Experience * Four year university degree or comparable education. * Hands-on experience in business analysis. Professional designation (CBAP) considered an asset. * Strong business knowledge/experience with the ability to define and document business requirements, use cases, scenarios, and test cases. * Demonstrated ability to manage time and concurrent priorities. * Team player with proven ability to facilitate project delivery through high-functioning teams. Proven leadership and negotiation skills. * Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group of executives, managers, and subject matter experts. * A sound technical foundation that encompasses logical and analytical thinking would be considered an asset.
