Title: Business Analyst - Logical Data Modeler IV / HP SW Business Intelligence (Only apply to 1 position) anywhere in US Pipeline Location: USA Please answer pre-screening questions to be considered for this position. Job location: anywhere in the US * Engages in peer-to-peer dialogue with clients about their industry and their situation * Builds strong rapport with clients creating respect and trust * Shapes and influences client attitudes to outcomes and key benefits for both the client and HP * Engages with senior and mid level client personnel. * Selects/customizes appropriate frameworks for delivery. * Leads facilitated sessions with business and technology representatives in order to design and/or modify various data warehouse models. * Demonstrates ability to provide thought leadership around data warehouse data structures * Demonstrates strong business and communication skills. Able to communicate in business terms and turn requirements into applicable data structures * Understands conceptual and logical database design fundamentals * Leads efforts to create data models in a large scale data warehousing environment. * Demonstrate proficiency with both 3rd normal form and Star Schema data modeling techniques including snowflake schema, cube design, ODS and Dimensional or Aggregate structures. * Demonstrates experience with transaction based (OLTP) systems as well as data warehouses * Demonstrates comprehensive knowledge in modeling tools such as ERWIN and CA Model Mart Education and Experience Required: * 8 years experience in commercial or public sector required * Consulting experience strongly preferred * Top-Tier (e.g., Accenture, Booz-Allen, IBM), or boutique firm focused on business intelligence or a related domain * Bachelors degree with a major or minor in business or a business related disciple (e.g. Management, MIS) required * Advanced degree preferred * Familiarity and experience with MS Office Suite (MS Word, MS Excel, MS PPT) required. * Familiarity and Experience with developing Conceptual Data Models (e.g., Entity Names, and Entity Relationships) and Logical Data Models (e.g., Entity Names, Entity Relationships, Attributes, Primary Keys & Foreign Keys) * Experience and familiarity with First Normal Form (1NF), Second Normal Form (2NF), and Third Normal Form (3NF) * Familiarity and experience with Data Modeling tools (e.g., Erwin Data Modeler, ER Studio Power Designer) * Experience designing physical models for various database platforms (such as Oracle, Teradata, Netezza, Neoview, etc)
