Job Description Job Summary:
Leading a mixture of business experts, IT professionals and external third parties to deliver both regional and international change projects. As part of creating a self perpetuating organization, the role will be responsible for educating and mentoring further project managers through PM@Siemens.
Key Accountabilities:
. To plan, control and drive to a conclusion throughout the project implementation key global and local projects, the aim of which is to transform or improve SFS COF, managing expectations and clearly communicating with stakeholders key options, benefits and performance against agreed milestones. . To build and develop a wider capability in COF covering project management and business analysis skills and techniques. Assist customers with appropriate linkage to other strategic initiatives broader Siemens projects. . Project lead on COF's strategic entrance into the North American Vendor flow market with responsibility for facilitation of requirements gathering, RFP preparation, response analysis and overall delivery management through to implementation. . To identify, scope, appoint and manage all third party / external suppliers that may be necessary in the delivery of any process / systems transformation within agreed budget. . As a key facilitator, ensure continual alignment of projects to the strategic direction of the business at all times advising senior management of any changes where necessary. . To oversee appointed implementing analysts or project managers and give guidance as required in line with the aforementioned role constituent parts.
Knowledge:
. Experience in an IT/Project Management/Business Improvement Strategic Role including full project/programme management (from inceptions thru implementation and onto close), functional business models, data flow diagrams and stakeholder management. . Knowledge of asset finance products, processes and legal requirements. . Education and industry experience in Prince 2, ITIL, Top+, Six Sigma, ITIL, Lean. . Negotiation, conflict resolution and influencing. . Awareness and experience of working with SQL, Java, Oracle, SSADM, UML and other development technologies. . Understanding of customer behaviors and the impacts they have on a Financial Services organization.
Education and Experience:
. Bachelor degree required. . A minimum of 5 years blue chip experience in project management, personnel management, and business transformation within the financial services industry with experience of delivering complex system and process transformation projects across multiple jurisdictions. This should be allied to experience within a project delivery within a financial institution. . Experienced in managing multiple projects via recognized methodologies. Familiar with Project planning techniques including Gantt Charts, product/work breakdown structures & critical path analysis. . Ability to influence and upwardly manage key decision makers, demonstrating high levels of commitment and drive to deliver against agreed objectives. Experience of leading geographically spread teams, and putting the goal of the team before personal goals. The ability to formulate and assimilate strategic plans and motivating factor. . Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, to be used across multiple countries and cultures and all levels of management within the Siemens wider organization. Sensitivity to the subtleties of cultural differences across the globe. . Completion of Project Management/Business Analysis training. . Ability to travel and be geographically mobile at short notice.
