Allina Commons is the Minneapolis-based headquarters of Allina Hospitals & Clinics, a not-for-profit health care organization serving patients and communities. Approximately 1,600 corporate and administrative service employees work at offices within Midtown Exchange, site of the historic Sears retail complex at Chicago Avenue and E. Lake Street. This community landmark, adjacent to the campus of Allina's Abbott Northwestern Hospital, is the second largest building in Minnesota and includes offices, an internationally themed public market and residential units.
Responsibilities:
- Principle duties include analysis & documentation, customer support and management, and project management.
Qualifications:
- BS / BA or equivalent preferred or applicable work experience with technical applications systems. - Minimum 5 years in a BA or similar role. - Previous work experience with process improvement / business applications in broader and complex areas. - May have significant expertise in business area or with particular information system. - Proven ability to understand and interpret medical terminology and clinical situations. - Proven ability to interpret clinical care workflow and translate clinical needs into business and technology system applications. - Ability to lead clinical care initiatives regarding technology and system solutions.
- Serves as a senior subject matter expert with content, processes and procedures associated with the enterprise. - Implements, modifies, test and administers more complex business systems and applications. - Conducts analysis of business and users needs to provide appropriate systems solutions. - Design special screens, reports, databases, etc. and prepares specifications for system changes. - Proven ability to lead meetings and direct team problem solving sessions. - Excellent customer relationship and negotiation skills. - Manages medium and large projects. - Mentors less experienced business analysts - Experience in formal analysis and presentation skills. - Ability to motivate others to learn. - Seeks out challenging lity to accept responsibility to develop solutions from concept to completion. - Champions new and innovative ideas to address business units/system barriers or opportunities. - Strong leadership judgment and business acumen. - Extensive integrated knowledge of Allina, the healthcare industry and business fundamentals. - Ability to develop a basic cost benefit analysis - Monitors other Business Analysts in development methods and processes and implementation of methods. - Excellent customer relationship and negotiation skills. - Exceptional communication skills internally and externally and with all levels of employees including senior management. - Excellent consulting skills. - Advanced skills in one or more of the following: - Data Ability to use data warehouse, data mining and reporting tools to support clinical workflows. - Clinical Workflow proven skills in accepted workflow methodology (Adaptive Design, Lean, etc.) - Business Skills ability to work collaboratively with Sr. Clinical and Executive Leaders. Proven project management skills for med/large projects, with broad reach/organizational impact. Proven skills in complex meeting management and communication. - Information Services ability to maximize technology capabilities to address complex strategic and operational needs.
Pay, Benefits, & Work Schedule
- 40 hours per week. - Day shifts.
