For more information about our products and Linedata see: />Position: Reporting to the Head of Business Analysis in London, the Business Analyst (BA) will perform research, analysis and specification for functionality within Linedata Icon – Linedata’s complete back-office investment management, accounting, portfolio valuation and investment reporting solution, for all types of funds and all sizes of institution The BA will have a good understanding of the operational workings of the back-office, experience of business analysis work for application development, and ideally a high level of knowledge of the Linedata product range. The BA will also work with clients, Fund Administrators, and the Linedata team to analyse what is required, what is possible, and how it could be achieved. Resulting documentation, such as requirements and functional specifications shall then; * capture the business requirements * provide the software developers with an adequately complete and clear definition of the functionality * supply software testers with the necessary criteria and examples from which to build comprehensive test plans for functionality * result in software that provides a useful and practical solution to real end users in the working environment. The creation of user documentation and reports may also be required as well as the ability to communicate the benefits of new facilities to others both internally and externally. In addition to working very closely with the rest of the development team throughout the development lifecycle, this role also includes supporting the activities of other teams such as the helpdesk, sales and pre-sales. The BA will be required to make contact and build relationships with external organisations in order to fulfil the above responsibilities and also to provide analysis of the local market and generate new product development ideas.
