Deltek Vision Database Coordinator-Charlotte, NC

As a member of a 20-person marketing services group, the Deltek Vision Database Coordinator assists in capturing business development resume and project data from existing sources to update, edit, and migrate data into the Deltek Vision database. This database contains employee resumes and project descriptions used for development of marketing and business development documents. The Deltek Vision Database Coordinator will work under supervision of and receive assignments from the Deltek Vision Database Manager. The position supports business development departments across the country and internationally as part of the Global BD/Virtual Proposal Center (VPC) in such diverse markets as healthcare, education, life sciences, industrial environmental remediation, defense industries, manufacturing, energy, and vehicle inspection. This position is in Charlotte, NC. ReLocation: expenses are not offered.
Responsibilities:
* The Deltek Vision Database Coordinator is responsible for assisting in development, input, and maintenance of resumes and project descriptions in the Vision database. * Develops and maintains resumes of key personnel, project descriptions, representative site photos, and project commendations using Deltek Vision. * Creates, gathers, researches, and organizes information from many sources to generate resumes and project descriptions for use in marketing and business development documents. Must synthesize disparate data from multiple sources into coherent BD documents. * Identifies and edits existing materials and/or writes copy to effectively communicate Parsons' services and core capabilities through project descriptions and resumes. * Researches, edits, and inputs BD data from sources across the company, including SharePoint/ParShare, PRISM, BDIS, and My Data to ensure data accuracy and consistency. * Makes recommendations for improving processes. * Understands and supports Parsons' business development and proposal development policies, procedures, and protocols. * Works closely with the Deltek Vision Database Manager and Virtual Proposal Center (VPC) staff to provide resumes and project descriptions in an efficient and timely manner to meet all deadlines. * Works closely with the Deltek Vision Database Manager and VPC team to capture any new information developed for proposals for addition to the Deltek database. * Interfaces with business development departments of all GBUs to provide project data and information as requested. * Interfaces with project/program managers to capture and document project progress. * Participates in meetings relating to data management, proposals, business development, and marketing. * Supports special projects and completes other responsibilities associated with the position as may be appropriate. * May be required to work evenings and weekends to meet proposal deadlines. Travel requirements are 0% to 5% of time.
Qualifications
* Strong editing skills, including grammar, punctuation, and sentence structure, etc., preferably with experience editing engineering technical documents. * Accuracy in working with detailed data. * Solid understanding of relational databases and Web-based systems in a network environment. * Prior business development and proposal experience within the engineering industry preferred. * Strong organizational, interpersonal, and oral communication skills. * Excellent organization and time management skills. * Ability to work independently, take initiative, and respond to requests for data with a sense of urgency. * Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and direction in a very dynamic work environment. * Proven ability to meet strict deadlines 100% of the time, without fail. * Ability to interface with all levels of personnel in a team environment. * Ability to work effectively with diverse and strong personalities. * Recommended software skills include prior experience with relational databases, MS Office (Word and Excel), and SharePoint. * BA/BS in English, Marketing, Communications, Liberal Arts, or a technical discipline or equivalent knowledge with 2+ years of applicable experience is preferred.
