Position Description Lenovo is seeking a strong Business Intelligence Analyst to work in close collaboration with our global business (Sales/Marketing/Distribution) as well as our Application Development teams based in China.
The Analyst will deliver a comprehensive set of reporting capabilities for CRM, PRM and ECC transactions. Will work with the business teams to map how reporting and analytics come into play in the E2E sales, marketing and distribution management process. Align appropriate BI tools to required business process using Lenovo's business process mapping tools. Identify key parameters associated with data sources, required transformation, logic, data quality and delivery of outputs based on business process definition
The Analyst will design efficient requirements gathering process and methods to capture the essence of business requirements that can be translated into an effective IT solution. Work closely with business teams to define KPI(s) and roadmap of datasets, convert key business questions into meaningful metrics, assess mock-up report, impact analysis and project scope, and address data quality concerns; Focusing on integrating data with inventory, offering, and sales data to provide a holistic view of products, and to effectively drive strategic goals on selection performance and supply-chain efficiency. Designing catalog, report/dashboard, and OLAP cube in Business Objects.
This position will assess status, discover/mitigate risks, and assist in issues resolution during BI solutions reviews, test phases and deployment. Lead User Acceptance testing scenarios and problem resolution, support end user training and deployment activitiesPosition Requirements We are seeking someone with 7+ years experience in Business Intelligence/Data Warehouse implementations in the capacity of functional analyst (requirements collection, rationalization and generate solid functional specification). Working experience with Technology Industry highly desired. Must have strong BI functional experience in ONE of the following functional areas: (1) Sales and distribution, leads, Opportunity management, Pricing, Quotation, Contracts and Sales transactions (2) Channel distribution including inventory reconciliation, intra channel shipments, returns, backlog and key Channel metrics such as Order Performance, Sales Productivity, Sell Through/In, and Inventory Management Performance (3) Supply Chain (e.g. Supply Chain Cost, Cash Flow Management, Serviceability, Global Account Supply Chain Performance and Supply and Demand Management (4) BI/Reporting/KPI strategy and framework
*** General Requirements *** (1) Experienced in eliciting and documenting business, functional and data requirements, context diagrams, use cases and BI/reporting related diagrams. (2) Ability to communicate and foster positive working relationships with all levels of management and company personnel (3) Excellent meeting facilitation and training skills. Must have proficient skills in the following software: Visio, MS Excel, and MS PowerPoint. (4) Ability to work in fast paced environment with proven ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple projects and tasks (5) Ability to make decisions and solve problems, while working under pressure.
