Job Responsibilities: * Participate in the analysis, design, and development of the Business Intelligence universe and reports for the Enterprise Data Warehouse and other BI initiatives* Contribute to the architectural planning, data modeling, process flow documentation; and the design and development of BI solutions* Collaborate with technical staff and business partners such as Finance and H/R to understand and translate their Business Intelligence / reporting business requirements into technical solutions* Perform detailed system analysis and design functions and create the technical designs and documentation* Work hands-on and in-depth with Business Objects Designer product in order to design Universes from ground up against dimensional and relational schemas* Create and support complex reports in Business Objects (Web Intelligence and Crystal) environment* Perform unit and system test / validation tasks* Support the QA Team and/or End Users during QA Testing and User Acceptance Testing* Maintain technical and user documentation* Administrator Business Objects environment to maintain folders, users, and security groups* Participate in the Installation, Upgrade, and Administration of the Business Objects Technical Environment* Develop procedures for tuning and system performance, usage reporting, and best practices to maintain stability of the BOE environments* Work on the daily production support tasks and the ongoing maintenance activities to support the Enterprise Data Warehouse Reporting environment* Be a proven individual contributor and team player with excellent communication skills* Utilize your ability to thrive in change by having a fast, flexible, cooperative work style and the ability to reprioritize at a moment's noticeQualifications: * A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, MIS, or related field* 7-10 or more years of overall IT experience in software development with demonstrated evidence of increasing growth and responsibility* 3-5 years of significant development experience within Business Objects XI R2 / R3 with hands-on development experience in Universe and report development in a Data Mart of Data Warehouse environment* Understand Business and Functional requirements and translate them into Universe and reports* 2-4 years of experience in installing, configuring, and administering BO XI environment on a Windows platform* Experience in performance monitoring and tuning of the environments to ensure smooth operation and maintain constant up-time* Experience in various Business Objects Applications like Web Intelligence, Info View, Desktop Intelligence, Designer, Crystal Reports, CMC (Central Management Console), Publisher, CCM (Central Configuration Manager), LCM, Apache Tomcat, Import Wizard, Security Viewer, Crystal, and Xcelsius* Strong understanding of BOE architecture and security including clustering and load balancing* Experience with configuring and implementing Single Sign-On and Kerberos authentication in Windows Active Directory environment* Experience in Microsoft Analysis Services (Cubes), Dashboards, and OLAPI (a plus)* 1-2 years of strong SQL Server 2005/2008 experience are desired* Knowledge of BI Methodologies, Data Marts, Data Warehouses, OLAP tools, and techniques* Previous experience in the Professional Services or Accounting Industry is a plus* Previous client service or consultative experience in technology is a plus* Thorough understanding of systems implementation methodology best practices* Critical thinking, problem solving and leadership aptitudes* Good business knowledge and confident decision making skills* Must be able to deliver in an environment of competing priorities and changing project scope
