Business Intelligence / Data Warehouse Business Analyst
Will serve asa member of the Business Intelligence Team. Workwith the Data Warehouse Architect/Administrator and Integrated Project Team members from other organizations. Deveop understanding ofthe business needs of the financial user community and communicate this information inrequirements to the BI Team to be used in database development and implementation.
Specific duties include but are not limited to:
â?¢ Facilitaeand document theGovernment User Community needs analysis. â?¢ Provide SME input to business layer of BI tool (fact tables, dimension tables, attributes, metrics, drill paths) â?¢ Develop reports using supplied reporting tools (e.g., Informatica Data Analyzer) or with other reporting tools (e.g. OBIEE, Business Objects; Crystal Reports, Cognos, Hyperion, etc.) that are easily transferred. â?¢ Download and prepare data for production loads. â?¢ Support testing of ETL processes â?" sample data, expected results, execution of tests, explanations and documenting results. â?¢ Assist in developing/updating training manuals and training users. â?¢ Key interface between users/management and ETL developers.
Required Education: 18+ Years with HS or 14+ Years with AA or 12+ Years with BS or 10+ Years with MS or 7+ Years with PhD
Required Skills:
* Ability to develop and maintain strong rapport and credibility with user community. * Strong team player, motivated, professional. * Ability to discuss technical issues in business language. * Ability to translate business requirements to data designs. * Logical data modeling and source to target mappings. * Develop high / low level process flow diagrams. * Experience using business analytics to capture data hierarchies and data entity dimensions across multiple subject areas. * Proficient with writing SQL.
