What you'll do
As a Business Objects Developer (Application

Engineer) within the Data Warehouse / Business Objects Team, you will complete

design, development, testing and support of simple to moderately complex items

related to Belkin's business reporting, data warehousing and/or web

onstrate experienced

analytical, troubleshooting and design ng tools, technologies, procedures and basic business concepts, you

will work closely with our Business Analysts, other Application Engineers and

internal / external customers to identify, prioritize and complete these items

while working under general supervision.
 
How you'll do it
·        Understand business requirements and translate into

technical design specifications.
·        Utilize applicable application configuration and

development toolsets to build, configure and/or test solutions that follow

design specifications and meet business requirements.
·        Understand business drivers for a given

e suggestions and propose

solutions that optimize development costs and business benefits.
·        Perform unit, QA and/or load testing where

te test scripts, define

test data and think through boundary conditions and code ting should be comprehensive and cover all

aspects of an application - performance, security, usability and end-user

experience.
·        Demonstrates and or develop general understanding

of regional business, systems, policies and procedures while ensuring one's own

work contributes to the organization's strategic goals.
·        Develop solutions that adhere to a strict level of

tomer and company data must

be protected at all times and appropriate coding or configuration should be

followed to protect security of data.
·        Provide first and second level support to end

users; ensuring that the issues are clearly understood before proposing or

implementing all customer

incidents inclusive of calls, emails and document support actions into the IT

Service Desk ticketing system.
 
What you'll need
·        2+ years of technical experience implementing,

coding and supporting Business Objects XI R2/R3/R4
·        Proficiency in Oracle 10g or 11g SQL, PL/SQL,

Stored Procedures, Triggers, SQL Tuning and other Database concepts.
·        Expertise in creating and modifying Oracle tables,

indexes, constraints, views, etc.
·        Expertise in Oracle data extraction and data

migration using various tools (i.e. SQL*Loader, Import/Export, etc.)
·        Candidate must have a thorough understanding of

relational database concepts as well as technologies for OLAP data storage.
 
What you've done
·        Bachelor's degree in Business, Computer Science,

Management Information Systems or equivalent combination of education and/or

work experience.
·        2

- 5 years of experience in Application Areas above
