The information that we provide targets audiences such as payers, RBMs, imaging providers and patients.
Position Description: The BO ETL Developer is a member of the Product Development team and will report directly to the Director, Software Development. The BO ETL Developer will interact with the Chief Architect and other members of the product development team to implement new business rules, modify existing code and assist in the research efforts doing data profiling and business rule validation. In addition, the developer will work together with DBAs to improve code performance and coordinate data loads for the development and test environments. Developers must be tenacious problem-solvers, ready to balance the technical challenges of each unique task.
Requirements:
Job Description/Responsibilities:
* Work on multiple tasks related to ETL development using Business Objects Data Services (previously known as Data Integrator) with emphasis on modifying and creating ETL jobs; fine tuning jobs for better performance; configuring and managing the BO Data Services Development and Production environments; documenting sustainment processes; collaborating with DBAs to fine tune performance. * Strong, hands on experience is required developing ETL code using Business Objects Data Integrator, as well as strong understanding of SQL, with emphasis on DB2. * Experience installing and configuring Data Integrator as well as setting up Data Marts. * Strong written and verbal communication skills are essential for the candidate to be successful in this role.
Required skills:
* BS degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or related field, with 2-5 years experience using the required technologies. * Strong Business Objects (BOXI R2 or R3) experience. * Strong ETL and OLAP programming background. * Solid relational Data Base background preferably in DB2. * Understanding of the Kimball methodology for data warehouses. * Experience with dimensional modeling and slowly changing dimensions; multidimensional analysis and cubes. * Experience with Data integrity checks, performance tuning and query optimization. * Good analytical and design skills * Excellent problem solving, organizational and communications skills * Ability to work independently and as part of a team, enthusiastic and able to adapt to a fast paced start-up environment. * Unix/Linux Shell Scripting is a plus but not required. * Some understanding of Linux server technologies. * Thorough understanding of Software Development Life cycle. * Experience working in an Agile environment preferred but not required.
