Business Senior Analyst
Title: Business Senior Analyst Location: SVK-Bratislava
This position will be the business analyst developing improvements to or replacements of automated financial systems and processes used by the global accounting organization. The business analyst role is part of Corporate Finance's Global Audit and Transformation (GAT) organization which reports into the VP Finance, Internal Audit and Transformation. This role includes duties such as: · Working with finance, tax, sales operations and other functional organizations to gather business requirements and then develop and deliver automated solutions supporting transactional accounting, tax, reporting or governance processes. · Working on the development and roll out of a global transaction tax solution (including VAT) tied to sales transaction systems used throughout Dell. · Working on the development of solutions for financial reporting including local statutory tax processing for various countries around the world as well. · Working on financial reporting or other automated systems solutions needed to support and improve business operations. · Some travel (< 10%) within the EMEA region and/or internationally may be required.
The Business Analyst will be responsible for the following: · Work within the team structure to develop a business / financial requirements, process flows, system flows, etc. for assigned projects · Work with internal finance customers to use existing knowledge of processes to ensure that designed solutions align with customer expectations and, if not, ensure end user/customer is aware of any identified gaps · Work with teams and project leaders to ensure business alignment, end-user training, end user testing, project communications, process change management, and/or compliance and data integrity checks are completed on schedule · Coordinate with other teams, systems, projects, to support successful Finance launch, and stabilization of product after go-live · Work with project team and the business partners to continuously analyze overall processes and identify changes to streamline activities and drive down costs · Help identify and drive resolution of issues back into appropriate groups to ensure proper resolution is reached Successful candidates will have an accounting or financial background and hands-on use of automated financial tools.
· Bachelor's degree in Business, Accounting, Finance or MIS and · 3 years of experience in finance ( accounting or tax ) or automated financial systems consulting experience · Experience with VAT tax reporting an advantage but not required · Ability to understand business processes and persuade and influence others. · Able to self-direct and work effectively with others at all levels of an organization with team members and business clients. · Candidates showing successful use of command skills, drive for results and teaming skills are highly desired · International project experience preferred but not required. · Financial acumen and dealing with ambiguity.
