SUMMARY
The primary purpose of the Business System Analyst position for the EMR Deployment Team is to provide expertise in deployment support and training solutions for the business/clinical applications and systems of the EMR ' ClinicStation.
KEY FUNCTIONS
1. EMR Knowledge - Demonstrates extensive knowledge of ClinicStation's functionality, infrastructure and other mission critical patient applications supported by the EMR Development and Support Department and how these applications perform with the client workstations.
2. EMR Customer Support - Provides on-going support and training of the EMR and other mission critical patient applications supported by the EMR Development and Support Department.
Demonstrates knowledge and skill of clinical practice. Coordinates support and training across different IT organizations to ensure continuity throughout the Institution. Participates with the Project and Deployment teams in the various stages of system testing and training. Participates with the Project and Deployment teams on identifying upgrade impact in clinical areas. Provides guidelines for production support to the Project and Deployment teams. Provides problem-solving expertise for all aspects of EMR applications / functionality. Coordinates technical efforts with the Infrastructure and Architecture Teams. Communicates technical problems/issues to the Infrastructure and/or Architecture Teams that may arise in determining solutions. Prepares and participates in the necessary documentation of the EMR Customer Support Team. Maintains effective communications with customers, EMR teams and management.
3. Customer Service - Demonstrates positive working relationships and effective service delivery through cooperation and courtesy with others.
4. On-Call Responsibility - Shares on-call responsibility for applications/systems supported by the EMR Development and Support Department during evening hours, weekends and holidays.
5. Other - Performs other duties and projects as assigned by manager and/or EMR Leadership *** Ideal candidates will have expertise with clinical applications ***
EDUCATION
Required: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
EXPERIENCE
Required: Three years experience in project management and/or workflow analysis. May substitute required education degree with additional years of equivalent experience on a one to one basis.
Preferred: High level of expertise with clinical applications and difficult customers.
