Job Description
A Software Engineer contributes to the development, delivery and maintenance of technology-based business solutions. He/she is skilled in designing, coding, testing, and implementing configuration changes to software applications to meet both functional and technical requirements. He/she may have some oversight responsibility for the technology solution.
Key Responsibilities May Include
Gathering functional requirements and developing technical specifications & project/test planning
Potentially leading development teams and supervising other technical resources
Reviewing designs & code output from development team and results produced by QA personnel
Interfacing with other technical and functional groups within Accenture
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications:
4 year degree or equivalent work experience
3+ years theoretical and practical (hands-on) C++ experience on Linux/Unix
3+ years experience in building real-time, low latency applications
Preferred Skills:
Experience and strong knowledge of the Systems Development Life Cycle (SDLC) - requirements gathering, application design and development, testing
Strong understanding of OO concepts
Knowledge in different asset classes like Equities, FI, Derivatives, FX, etc
General capital markets knowledge
Experience in Financial Services (Insurance, Banking)
Professional Skill Requirements
Ability to work as a team member
Desire to work in an information systems environment
