Job Description :

The principal markets served by SIMCO Electronics include Life Sciences, Electronic Components/Semiconductors, Communications/Optical Networking, Automotive, and Government. Specific market-focused expertise is the core of SIMCO Electronics’ competencies and a central focus of capital investments and strategic initiatives.
The Senior Repair Technician will perform calibration and repair of test measurement and diagnostic equipment used in the Life Science, RF/Telecommunications, and Semiconductor/Electronic Components markets. This position act independently to determine methods and procedures on new assignments and may guide the activities of other technicians, use ability as skilled specialist to contribute in development of concepts and techniques, and work on assignments that are extremely complex in nature where independent action and a high degree of initiative are required in resolving problems and developing recommendations.

Responsibilities and Duties
* Evaluate, test, troubleshoot, and repair systems to component levels of test measurement and diagnostic equipments.
* Enter data into calibration database.
* Prepare calibration reports and certificates related to assignments in a timely manner.
* Perform calibrations and repair in one or more of the following skill areas, as applicable:
· bio-med instrumentation
· electronic standards
· fiber optics
· LCR and impedance
· nuclear and radiation physics
· oscilloscopes
· particle counters
· photo/radiometric optometry
· ESD
· RF/microwave power, frequency, and impedance
· sound pressure level
· spectrophotometry (including standards)
· spectrum and network analysis, time interval and frequency
· vibration
· video
· voltage & current
· waveform analysis, phase and distortion
* Receive and complete training on calibration procedures, documentation, and the calibration database.
* Train other technicians on specialize skills.
* Regular interaction with other technicians, CSRs, Account Managers, management, and lifications
1. Minimum AA degree in Electrical Technologies, formal PMEL, or equivalent.
2. Must be able to perform mathematical computations related to specification and measurement analysis.
3. Minimum eight years of electronic repair and calibration experience.
4. Strong knowledge of electronic circuit theory and advance soldering skills.
5. Familiar with all main calibration and repair laboratory work stations with the ability to train others.
6. Must have great interpersonal and customer service skills.
7. Strong attention to details.
8. Must possess good written, oral, and documentation skills.
9. Must be a self motivator, work as a team player, and follow written procedures.
10. Proficient in MS Word and sical Demands
* Must be able to lift up to 45 pounds without assistance.
* Occasional standing and bending are required.

Working Environment
1. Works primarily in a laboratory or manufacturing environment at a SIMCO location and/or customer sites.
* Travel may be required to other domestic and possibly international locations.
