Job Description:
The Campus Support Technician is responsible for performing technical research and hardware evaluations related to product reliability. In Systems Engineering, reliability is centered on mobile, fixed devices as well as printers and commodity equipment. This is an opportunity to develop professional and technical skills for a career-oriented person.
This position will become more technical as the person becomes familiar with the products, product history, and tasks required in the position. The technician will assist Systems Engineer’s in hardware lifecycle management activities.
The Campus Support Technician should have Microsoft Office experience, equipment disassembly and reassembly experience and some database and data analysis skills as well as good logic skills. The position will become more professional requiring interaction with other UPS groups and vendors.
The Campus Support Technician:
- Must test at least intermediate on Microsoft Word, Excel, Access and PowerPoint.
- Must have good written and oral communications skills.
- Must have good technical, planning, organizational, decision making, and problem solving skills.
- Must be able to work on multiple projects simultaneously.
- Must be self-motivated.
- Must be a team player.
Primary Skill:
Microsoft Office with ability to resolve complex hardware issues
