Position Requirements – Cash Application Analyst
Primary Function: Responsible for providing efficient and accurate application of payments from customers of WESCO Distribution, Inc and subsidiaries at our Corporate Headquarters office in Pittsburgh, PA. Assist Management to achieve daily production goals and objectives. Only candidates who are committed to professionalism and continuous improvement should apply. Working Procedure and/or Responsibility Assigned: The following are the usual major job duties but this job description does not preclude the performance of other duties by the incumbent, nor the questions being raised on the proper rate of pay for the assignment · Review incoming receipts and remittance advices to determine application to Accounts Receivable. · Post receipts to customer Accounts Receivable account via data processing functions. · Reconciliation of funds received to bank deposits. · Preparation of required journal entries. · Apply payments per customer detail in a timely manner. · Research data entry history files and bank deposits to correct errors. · Adhere to department policies and procedures. · Organize and research for reconciliation of Accounts Receivable. · Maintain confidentiality regarding client data, documents and procedures. · Appropriately interface with customer, financial services, and branch to determine appropriate check remittance application · Complete additional tasks as assigned. · For assistance in determining application of payments, on occasion, associate must contact Financial Services representatives, Branch personnel and/or the customer. Job Requirements :
Skills and Qualifications (required and preferred) · Minimum 2 years of Cash Application Experience – Oracle Financials Experience preferred. · Basic knowledge of Accounting and/or Accounts Receivable · Ability to remain calm and work in an intense productivity environment with tight deadlines required · Ability to work overtime as needed (end of month – mandatory overtime) · Ability to effectively use a 10 key calculator required · Strong oral communication skill preferred · PC Windows experience required · Excel experience preferred · Customer service oriented · Team Player · Ability to work independently with little/no supervision
Direction Received:
· After initial training period, associate will be under the direction of his/her Team Leader or Supervisor.
Education Requirement:
· Minimum high school education · Post high school education preferred Salary Range :
· $10.95 - $16.40 per hour · Full Time Position – 40 hours per week · Non Exempt Status · Mandatory Overtime for Month End Closing and When Work Levels Require
