Position Summary:
The Role:
Red Hat's technical certification program is among the most respected in IT. The Red Hat Certification Team seeks a skilled J2EE developer with experience using JBoss Enterprise Application Platform, Hibernate and related technologies to help bring its distinctive approach to testing to the world of JBoss and enterprise application development.
Most IT certification exams test what you remember. Red Hat's examstest what you can "do". Candidates must perform real-world tasks in live environments using the technologies on which they are sequently, the process of creating and maintaining these exams is a highly technical one. The scope of what an exam should cover must be determined. Tasks appropriate to the scope must be identified and written. Mechanisms for implementing a suitable work environment and evaluating candidate
performance must be coded.
We seek innovative, technically capable and imaginative people. But we also need more than that.
Members of the Red Hat Certification Team have challenging customer service responsibilities in addition to their
technical responsibilities. The utmost diplomacy, tact, and professionalism when communicating with unhappy exam candidates is essential.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Perform real-world tasks in live environments using the technologies on which they are certifying
Required Skills & Experience:
- Solid written English skills are necessary to ensure that all that diplomacy, tact and professionalism come through.
- Team members must be capable of keeping highly confidential information confidential and of treating every exam
candidate worldwide with fairness and impartiality.
- Experience with J2EE application development, particularly for JBoss Enterprise Application Platform.
- Knowledge of Hibernate is important knowledge of SEAM is desirable.
- Experience using Linux is a strong plus.
- Experience with shell scripting, Perl, and databases is a plus.
- Experience with or knowledge of virtualization and cloud is a plus.
- Solid spoken and written English is necessary.
- Diplomacy, tact, professionalism, discretion, trustworthiness, and a thick skin are requirements.
