The Role Bloomberg News is seeking an experienced Editor to lead our Renewable Energy and Carbon Reporters in the Americas. The team is responsible for developing stories for use across Bloomberg's news platforms, from Businessweek to the BLOOMBERG PROFESSIONAL® Service and industry newsletters. Its output ranges from daily developments in financing wind and solar plants to stories tying together the defining topics facing the clean energy industry and carbon markets. The successful candidate will have to form alliances within Bloomberg to ensure the best coverage and to coordinate resources across the company. The person will work closely with other Bloomberg News editorial teams, especially those covering energy markets, industries and government regulations.
Qualifications: -Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience -Demonstrable passion for clean energy and carbon markets -Experience as a journalist, writer or editor in a fast paced environment with a proven track record and rapid progression -Experience leading and managing a team -Drive and motivation to build a new team -Understanding of finance, public markets, IPOs, mergers and acquisitions, venture capital and project finance. -Able to assimilate and assess new and highly technical information -Exceptional communication skills, able to quickly build alliances within the organization -Excellent networking abilities and able to navigate complex situations -Must act as a self-starter, have a high work-rate, multi-tasking ability and rigorous attention to detail
