DESCRIPTION:

Greatbatch Medical Clarence is looking for a CNC Programmer/Technician whose primary purpose is to program, troubleshoot and operate short run, limited quantity jobs. This position will supportR&D and Production in the Medical, Commercial and Orthopedic groups.

Responsibilities will include but are not limited to; Formulates numerical control computer programs and routings for all CNC machine shop equipment (swiss lathes, Wire EDM, Haas Machine Centers, Esprit Programming software, and Solid Works), sets up and operates all machine shop equipment for short-run, limited quantity jobs; develops process capabilities and method feasibilities, inspects parts, visually and dimensionally, to assure conformance to requirements; troubleshoots and corects problems in a timely manner; designs, fabricates and maintains tooling as required; cleans and maintains equipment as necessary; performs other functions as required. The position will also shareresponsibility for safety, on-time delivery, and quality.

QUALIFICATIONS:(education & experience)

· Education: High school graduate or equivalent

* Experience: Journeyman CNC machinist with 5 years CNC experience OR 10 years diversified machine shop experience with 5 years CNC experience in manufacture or precision parts AND minimum of 3 years experience in multiprocessing programming of CNC machining equipment.
* Specialized Knowledge Needed For Performance of Job: Ability to read, interpret and understand blueprints and CNC programs; must be able to work with small, precision parts to very close tolerances.
* Additional abilities: multi-tasking, meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment, strong organizational, communication and teamwork skills. Must be able to work Overtime, including weekends.
