Description: ? Provide technical oversight of COBOL workload ? Provide technical oversight of IMS changes ? Provide guidance on mainframe environment ? Engage in technical analysis and determine possible solutions ? Assign programming tasks to COBOL Programmer Analysts ? Provide technical assistance to COBOL Programmer Analysts ? Lead and participate in technical meetings ? Assist with the development of project documentation ? Provide technical oversight of integration and system testing ? Perform as the point of contact for all technical communications and issues ? Perform COBOL programming/development ? Provide technical oversight of deployment processes ? Manage knowledge transfer, support transition activities and development processes to technical teams ? Keep Project Manager updated on development progress and issues
Skills: ? Extensive experience in COBOL programming ? Extensive experience in IMS database usage (reading, inserting, updating, deleting) ? Extensive experience designing and developing online screens ? Extensive experience in requirements analysis and solution building ? Experience with IBM mainframe ? Experience in DB2 usage (reading, inserting, updating, deleting) ? Experience in leading technical staff ? Above average technical documentation skills ? Extensive experience providing troubleshooting and maintenance support of COBOL programs/components ? Extensive experience in COBOL/mainframe testing ? Experience using the SDLC model: design; analysis; implementation; integration; testing; and maintenance ? Experience in coordinating deployment activities for COBOL batch programs, online screens and IMS changes ? Experience in effectively communicating with customers, end-users, subject matter experts, and other technical staff
