Using agile/scrum development methodologies several small development teams have built and deployed front-end web user interfaces, large searchable document/metadata indices, secure federated search, enterprise wikis, enterprise e-mail, blogs, instant messaging, web storage, image and video repositories, SharePoint and other Web 2.0 services using a variety of COTS, GOTS and Open Source products. Members of this team interact with representatives from each of the Intel Agencies continually incorporating their feedback into new services releasing new software every few weeks. Java and J2EE technologies used include Groovy, Grails, XQuery, Marklogic, Open Search, JSTL, XML, XSLT, CSS, HTML, and others. 1. One provides system, network, and storage administration support for Windows, Unix, and Linux to the Research Directorate, where you'll be exposed to leading-edge technologies!. 2. The other task provides support for the NetTop team, which is responsible for developing a thin-client utilizing XPe/Linux, as well as remote administration with PHP. The project involves integrating various network, virtualization and Operating System components to create a next-gen desktop platform for the customer!

Need for Mid-to-Senior Level Web Developer/Software Engineer who will be responsible for implementing the IC version of Button 2, collaboration using existing IIM (Jabber) technology, combined with IC Connect (Adobe Connect). Essential Job Functions - Works in conjunction with the business development staff; creates new business by identifying customer purchasing requirements and technical specifications. - Assists in defining and creating demonstration software and systems to showcase products and systems. - Provides answers to customer inquiries concerning system software and applications, pre-sale and post-sale. Refers inquiries as necessary to appropriate personnel. - Assists in testing user configurations for system compatibility. Documents and provides support; resolves issues to ensure that the system is functioning according to specifications. - Interacts with engineering groups to assist in the design changes to equipment. Assists in tracking the progress of the projects with accountability to the customer, project manager and management to ensure an on-time and smooth product launch for the customer. - Assists in the training of customers on systems applications. Required Quals/Skills: - 3-5 years experience working as a web developer/software engineer designing high-performance, scalable architectures, and writing applications in Java, and/or working on an equivalent open source project. - Must have experience with HTML, XML and XSLT. - Must have software development lifecycle experience, including design, coding, testing and documentation. - Must have demonstrable diagnostic and problem solving skills to ensure optimal development environment. - Must have demonstrable experience working in a dynamic environment. - Must be able to communicate effectively with all levels of customers and colleagues. - Must be able to work cooperatively with infrastructure support admin personnel. - Must be able to respond to tier 2 support calls during and outside of normal business hours and weekends. - Must be able to manage time effectively and work on multiple project timelines - Experience running high-traffic web services, including requirements and capacity analysis, service configuration, monitoring and troubleshooting, and change management. - Excellent problem solving skills diagnosing performance issues and handling large scale systems. - Solid background in Windows programming, TCP/IP networking and database replication. - Knowledge of SQL and query optimization, MS SQL a plus. - BS or MS in Computer Science or equivalent.
