Title: Communications Senior Consultant - Influencer & Analyst Relations - Public Sector Location: TX-Round Rock We are currently seeking a Communications Senior Consultant, Influencer and Analyst Relations, Global Public Sector who will report to the Senior Manager, Influencer and Analyst Relations. This individual will manage all influencer relations around Dell's Global Public business, including healthcare, defense, education and government. Specifically s/he will be responsible for driving third party advocacy and support for Dell product and services related to the public business. The Communications Senior Consultant with work across functions in Dell's Public marketing team and the Dell communications team to shape stakeholder engagements in support of these four vertical segments. S/he will have the requisite planning and operations skills to execute campaigns from ideation to execution across a variety of disciplines and functions. Prior experience with public sector influencer relations management is essential.
This individual must be resourceful, strategic and a creative thinker and demonstrate subject matter expertise in the four vertical sectors, with an emphasis on government and healthcare. S/he must show the ability to maintain and build extensive relationships with influencers and connect them back to relationships within a complex organization. S/he should be seasoned in partnering with a communications agency and PR colleagues to drive and enhance business results.
The ideal candidate will have ~7-9 years experience and a proven track record of developing and managing influencer programs with demonstrable exposure to public sector IT.
S/he will be an experienced leader with proven capability in contributing to a world class analyst and influencer relations function. S/he will have knowledge of the public sector IT business on a global scale while being intimately familiar X86 personal and enterprise computing models, mobile technology and professional services. S/he will have deep industry relationships and contacts at major analyst firms. This candidate will also be responsible for shaping an influencer strategy that engages academics, key customers and industry leaders as ambassadors/advocates for the four vertical segments.
S/he will be comfortable with the development of tools, processes and the application of digital media to create and engage analysts and influencers in social media communities and foster ongoing dialogue about Dell. As part of this dialogue, this candidate will also evaluate and build out Dell's model for analyst engagement in research related to the public sector. Key to this role will lie in the individual's ability to synthesize and source data that allows Dell to react to and manage emerging trends and insights. S/he must be comfortable managing budgets.
Finally, this candidate will have insight and experience managing customer reference programs. This candidate will evaluate Dell's current practice and make recommendations on how to establish, manage and source high impact customer reference and engagement in support of Dell's Corporate Communication Function.
Functional/Technical Skills · Knowledge of major analyst databases (Gartner/Forrester/IDC) · Proficiency in MS Word, Outlook, Power Point and Excel · Familiarity with Cymfony and Radian 6 is a plus
