This position is responsible for developing and executing integrated, results-oriented communications strategies and tactics that explain the Boeing Shared Services Group Supplier Management organizations vision, goals, strategies, objectives, key activities and process improvements to its employees, internal stakeholders, external suppliers and news media in an easy-to-understand and effective manner.
Experience in communicating organizational change/transformation is a critical requirement for success in this position. This position also requires critical thinking; strong planning, writing and editing skills; meticulous attention to detail; and the ability to build positive, productive relationships with a wide range of leaders, business partners and Communications colleagues across the company.
The successful candidate will work closely with the Supplier Management leader and leadership team to proactively provide advice, counsel and support on the use of internal communications to achieve their business objectives and goals.
The successful candidate also will apply a sound understanding of communications principles and approaches in creating plans that inform and educate stakeholder audiences about a wide range of Supplier Management issues.
He or she will demonstrate strong project management skills in leading the implementation of those plans, a role that includes establishing priorities, schedules and work flows; assigning roles; occasionally leading teams; maintaining quality standards; coordinating supplier publicity requests; managing a complex internal review process; and measuring results.
And he or she will identify and capitalize on opportunities to integrate activities with other employee communications activities and initiatives using a variety of media and creative communications approaches.

Typical Education/Experience
Level 4 - Bachelor's degree and typically 10 or more years' related work experience, a Master's degree and typically 8 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Level 5 - Bachelor's degree and typically 15 or more years' related work experience, a Master's degree and typically 13 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Other Job related information
Education - Bachelor's degree and 10 or more years of work experience in communications, or a Master's degree with 6 years or more of experience in communications. Additional Criteria - Position is based in Seattle and reports to SSG Communications director. Must demonstrate ability to work independently with very little oversight; make decisions that could ultimately impact the company's reputation; think proactively and work collaboratively.
