In your role, you will assist in the repair and/or modification of composite requirements to conform to applicable engineering drawings, Structural Repair Manuals (SRM) and Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) on customer aircraft. Completion of work is in accordance with applicable technical data and FAA/JAA regulations.
Principal duties:
* Assist and train other employees in proper techniques and procedures * Perform minor and complex structural repairs on components detached or attached to aircraft including, but not limited to flight controls, doors, engine inlet and cowlings, stabilizers, radomes, aft stingers, and horizontal to vertical stabilizer close-out fairings at on-site or off-site locations * Fabricate composite components and assemblies which may be "first article", prototype, or one-of-a-kind items working from drawings, sketches, advance designs, and verbal instructions * Provide time estimates as required * Perform all vacuum bagging and hot bond repairs * Comply with all environmental health and safety policies and procedures included but not limited to Safety Manual Section 1225 * Estimate man-hours on discrepancies, as required As our ideal candidate, you will meet the following requirements:
* Typically 4 years composite repair / modification experience * Airframe Certificate preferred * Basic knowledge of the differences between repair station, developmental and production engineering, and corresponding paperwork * Working knowledge of reading and interpreting aircraft blueprints, drawings, diagrams, and manuals * Working knowledge of aircraft systems * Working knowledge of manuals necessary to perform job including, but not limited to, Standard Operating Procedures (SOP), SR Maintenance Manual and Component Installation Manual, Systems Manual, Engineering Orders, Maintenance Manuals, and various technical information necessary to perform job * Working knowledge of maintenance manuals, parts catalog, and applicable FAA documents * Working knowledge in fabrication of sheet metal and/or composite components and assemblies, aircraft parts and ground support equipment per engineering drawings, sketches, advance designs, specifications and/or verbal instruction Bombardier is an Equal Opportunity Employer (EOE) and strongly supports diversity in the workplace.
