Position Description:

Specific Duties:
? Provides operational input to support new software requirements for weapons locating radars.
? Develops analyses of proposed radar requirements as part of a contractor and then joint integrated process team resulting in requirements definitions and software impacts that are based on user agency input.
? Performs Software Change Request (SCR) analyses.
? Develops integration test procedures and strategies and conducts integration testing of engineering systems in order to identify problems early in the software development process.
? Conducts field testing with weapon locating radars, including emplacement, generator operations, march order, and preventative maintenance checks and services (PMCS).
? Conducts live fire testing at remote locations such as Yuma Proving Grounds (YPG) using weapon locating radars which involves extended temporary duty assignments.
? Support software engineers in unit and integration tests and field testing with weapon locating radars.
? Analyzes and develops computer software possessing a wide range of capabilities, including numerous engineernig, business and records management functions.
? Analyzes user interfaces, maintains radar hardware
? Coordinates closely with programmers to ensure proper implementation of system specifications.
? Develops, in conjunction with functional users, system alternative solutions.
? Serve as a Computer Systems Analyst (Associate) on the Fire Support Contract
? Develops Weapons Locatng Radar software requirements analysis
? Develops Software Change Request Analyses
? Develops integration test procedures
? Conducts integration test procedures
? Emplaces, March Orders, and operates Weapons Locating Radars
? Maintains FIREFINDER radars and ancillary equipment
? Performs analysis of software test anomalies and provides recommendations for solutions
? Operates radar systems in remote locations for live fire testing
? Provides operational radar support to software developers
? 5 years experience as a FIREFINDER radar operator or section leader
? Must be familiar with MS Word, MS Excel, and MS PowerPoint
? Must have completed effective writing training

High School Diploma or GED equivalent and a minimum of 5 years directly related work experience required.
Additional Requirements:
? Must be able to successfully complete the Stanley Background Investigation to include 50 State Criminal, Education and Employment. (Additionally, ability to successfully complete a Credit and/or Driving Records Checks may be conducted if required by the contract for continued employment.)
? Must obtain and maintain a SECRET security clearance
? An Interim SECRET security clearance is required prior to employment.
? U.S. citizenship is required.
? Must be able to obtain and maintain a military driver's license
? Experienced emplacing all components of the FIREFINDER radar systems as part of a crew of operators
? Experienced operating the FIREFINDER radars
? Must be physically able to operate the prime movers of the FIREFINDER radar systems
? Experienced in setup and operation of SINCGARS radios in conjunction with FIREFINDER digital communications
? 25% travel in support of remote radar testing
? Must be able to work swing shifts as required based availability and scheduling of equipment

Preferred:
? Ability to operate RPAS
? Ability to operate AFATDS
