Concept Developer I (Sports Media/Graphics/Web/IT)
Based on an increased demand for next level virtual applications, Creative Technology requires a Concept Developer I/II for day-to-day requests, allowing higher level Concept Developers to work on next level applications. Some daily work consists of "Virtual Pitch" relief, assistance in EA Virtual Playbook play builds and studio build-outs. The Concept Developer I will be focused on aiding in the development of products/concepts within the Creative Product Development Group, which provides creative product concepts using innovative technology. This is an entry level position for the Creative Product Development team. This position would work on some of the more basic elements of products the department develops.
Responsibilities
Responsibilities of a Concept Developer I may include, but not limited to the following:
Basic understanding of the types of products the group would develop for studio and remote
Brainstorm with other departments to come up with innovative new products or enhancements to existing products
Work with team to develop product concepts and/or improve existing production workflows
Basic understanding of the types of product creation software/hardware the team uses
Work closely Sr Concept Developers in the development and prototyping of new product ideas
Assemble hardware/software platforms for prototyping
Work closely with Sr Concept Developer to troubleshoot system flaws
Finds and evaluates new technologies for use in the Product Development Group
Must keep up to date with new trends and new technology
Provide timely communication with regards to development deadlines, issues, etc
Provide general feedback on product development and flaws
Provide basic problem-solving
Communicate basic needs and analysis of project goals to Management
Effective communication with all levels of technical team
Interact closely with other groups in Product Development to facilitate a creative team environment
Basic Qualifications
Candidate must have a minimum of 2 years' experience in a media-related environment, studio production systems design and/or a working knowledge of broadcast media application systems.
Basic knowledge of video and camera operations
Basic knowledge in computer networking, video and data signal flows
Knowledge in animation and timelines
Ability to troubleshoot and provide preventive maintenance on systems
Must have basic communication, problem-solving and analytical skills and understand system development methodologies
Ability to effectively communicate ideas to Product Development and Innovation teams.
Ability to work collaboratively with technology, production and creative services
Travel and work at outdoor events required
Preferred Qualifications
Knowledge in 3D design tools a plus
Knowledge in virtual reality technology a plus
Preferred Education
College degree or equivalent work experience required.
