Configuration Management (CM) activities for this position consist of planning and management, configuration identification (including baselining), configuration control, audit and verification, configuration status accounting, and data management. CM applies to all systems, sub-systems, equipment, components and assets captured in the FAA Enterprise Architecture. This includes all NAS and non-NAS information technology hardware, software, firmware, documentation, interfaces, standards, test and support equipment, facility space, spares, training and courseware, and manuals.
Duties include (but are not limited to):
1. The successful applicant will support the ATC Surveillance Branch's Configuration Management activities. These CM activities apply to hardware, software and systems, pursuant to all types of media. Areas of CM support may include: 1.1. Physical Configuration Audits (PCA) 1.2. Functional Configuration Audits (FCA) 1.3. Inspections 1.4. Archives 1.5. Certifications 1.6. Calibrations 1.7. Accreditation
2. Employ automated computer methods for record monitoring, software build tracking, document management and control, and deliverable status as well as meeting support when needed.
3. Configuration Management functions will adhere to all FAA policies, procedures, and accepted practices. Provide support on SW version control, documents, archiving of SW and HW and ISO9001 processes. * Degree Requirements: BA/BS Business Administration, Management Information Systems, Computer Information Systems or similar degree. * Relevant Experience (amount and type): 3-7 yrs in CM field. * Experience in HW and SW Configuration Management practices. * Certificates related to the Configuration Management Field, ISO/IEC and/or other relevant training are desired. * Computer literacy to include: MS Office Suite 2003 or later (Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Project, Access, etc.) PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Experience/familiarity with the FAA Acquisition Management System; FAA Configuration Management Policy, Order 1800.66; Contractors Guide for Control of Government Property; T&E Handbook; T&E Configuration Management Process Description Document.
