Content Maintenance Specialist (Corp)
Job Summary
The Content Maintenance Specialist creates and updates marketing and instructional content for UPS's customer-facing website across 100 plus country sites and 30 plus languages. The Specialist helps determine content needs, writes and edits content using a content management system, makes iterative revisions, facilitates translations, troubleshoots issues, and tracks the quality of content assignments. The Content Maintenance Specialist reports to the Content Strategist or Managing Editor.
This person writes and edits contextually appropriated copy for and ensures content compliance with editoral, brand and design standards. Executes general content maintenance (change requests, defect correction, urgent communications) and understands initiative documentation (requirements, page specifications) that guides content creation. Organizes project work and captures content dependencies through creation of content matrixes (Excel spreadsheets).
Other Duties
Develops and manipulates content (text and media) within the CMS.
Gathers stakeholder content reviews through the CMS.
Facilitates content translations through the CMS.
Publishes content changes to multiple preview/test environments.
Performs quality assurance testing.
Identifies defects, revises content, and republishes.
