Summary:
With minimal supervision, the Contracts Administrator will be responsible for the administration of LMI contracts (cradle to grave) for domestic and international customers. The Contracts Administrator will examine proposals, draft, review and negotiate agreement terms and conditions, analyze risk, review changes, track compliance with contract terms and conditions, process extensions and perform contract closeout. The Contracts Administrator will also proactively engage with internal and external customers throughout the lifecycle of the contract to ensure that the program is executing to contract requirements and report metrics regarding contract performance. While performing all duties and responsibilities, the Contracts Administrator will, at all times, model LMI values and principles and act in a manner consistent with the LMI Code of Business Conduct and Ethics.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
. Responsible for administering assigned customer contracts, including:

o Draft, review and negotiate contract terms and conditions in cooperation with various departments and management.

. Analyze requests for proposal (RFP) and partner with Business Development and other functional departments on proposal development and preparation efforts.

. Review and analyze change notices to determine the need for amendments when customer changes are out-of-scope. Prepare all correspondence related to contract changes.

. Monitor contract performance and ensure compliance with contract terms.

. Interpret agreement terms and conditions and identify potential risk areas. Review contractual documents to ensure adherence to company policy government regulations and aerospace industry standards. Provide contractual advice, guidance and support to the Program and to Management.

. Responds to inquiries regarding contract obligations and revisions.

. Support various departments in fulfillment of contract deliverables.

. Assist the Executive Legal Director in the development of the Contracts Department Policies and Procedures.

. Extract and communicate prime contract flow-down clauses to the Supplier Management group for inclusion in subcontracts.

. Prepare teaming agreements, Memorandums of Understanding (MOUs), Memorandums of Agreement (MOAs), Non-Disclosure Agreements (NDAs), and domestic and international consultant/sales representative agreements and other contractual agreements for various departments and management, as needed.

. Facilitate management review of contracts in program reviews.

. Assist the IT department with the development of a software-based contracts management system.

. Maintain all hard copy contract files.

. Lead or participate in a variety of special projects and improvement teams as requested.
Qualifications:
. Bachelor's degree in Contracts Administration, Business Management, Law or related field; and/or equivalent combination of education and experience. Advanced degree preferred.

. Minimum 5 years experience negotiating and administering complex, long-term contracts, both international and domestic, in a manufacturing or engineering environment, preferably in the aerospace or defense industries.

. Experience with various types of domestic and international contracts including: Time and Material (T&M), Firm Fixed Price (FFP), and Cost Plus Fixed Fee (CPFF) required.

. Working knowledge of FAR, DFARS preferred

. . Superior organizational and time management skills; ability to multi-task.

. . Attention to detail.

. Ability to read, analyze, interpret and comprehend complex written instructions as well as technical publications.

. Superior written and oral communication skills. Ability to successfully interface with all levels of employees and management, both internally and externally.

. Strong analytical, critical thinking and proven ability to apply creative and innovative solutions to on-going problems.

. Ability to compile and present data in a format that facilitates information sharing and decision making.

. Must be highly ethical, have strong integrity, use value based decision-making and adhere to strict confidentiality requirements.

. Ability to work independently efficiently and effectively, with minimal supervision.

. Flexibility to work in a dynamic environment with multiple priorities that frequently change.

. Must be able to work with customers, suppliers, and employees effectively in a team-oriented environment.

. Proactively communicate with co-workers, management, and all others in a courteous and professional manner.
Education and/or Experience Required:
. Bachelor's degree in Contracts Administration, Business Management, Law or related field; and/or equivalent combination of education and experience. Advanced degree preferred.

. Minimum 5 years experience negotiating and administering complex, long-term contracts, both international and domestic, in a manufacturing or engineering environment, preferably in the aerospace or defense industries.
Computer Skills:
Excellent PC skills. Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.

Experience with software-based contracts management system(s) a plus.
Other Skills and Abilities:

Physical Demands:
The employee must able to sit for extended period of time, up to 8 hours with periodic breaks. Employee may occasionally stand and/or walk and occasionally lift and /or move up to 10 pounds. Must be able to move throughout the office and manufacturing area and talk/hear or otherwise communicate with employees, management, customers, vendors, and others.
Work Environment:
The employee will normally work in an office environment. The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet. Employee will be required to wear personal protective equipment when working on the shop floor.
