Overview External: Position Details: Responsibilities for this position may include but are not limited to:
* The Contracts Analyst issues supplier contracts and works with Category Managers and Business Unit attorneys to negotiate agreements that minimize Chevron's exposure to risk while considering commercial aspects and executing the Business Plan.
* Frequent communications with customers, suppliers, partners, external agencies, and employees.
* Balances focus and efforts between short and long-term risk management objectives.
* Directly supports Contracts Supervisor.
Required Qualifications:
* At least 3 years of direct contracting experience.
* Job knowledge - Knowledge of Legal Terms and Conditions, Insurance, Amendments/Addendums/Supplements, Analysis, Planning & Organization. Proven ability to develop, negotiate and execute contractual documents. Knowledge of Supplier Qualification process for validation of proper documentation. Ariba Buyer knowledge a plus
* Experience - Demonstrated knowledge and ability to utilize contracting tools (Ariba Contracting Workbench and SDMS a plus) and an understanding of the contracting processes. Knowledge of legal templates and preparation of contractual documents.
* Leadership - Demonstrated strong interpersonal skills; strong team player and proactive communicator. Portrayed an ability to make decisions and a show of confidence in contracting knowledge. Strong relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.
Relocation Options: Relocation may be considered.
International Considerations: Expatriate assignments will be considered.
Selected candidates will work in International Location under the local payroll system and benefits.
