Location: MD - Columbia Clearance Requirement: TS / SCI with Polygraph
POSITION DESCRIPTION: Provides technical expertise for database design, development, implementation, administration, information storage and retrieval; data flow and analysis. Performs analysis to recommend appropriate database technologies and designs for specific requirements, effective database security techniques, and methods to optimize database performance and ensure maximum availability. Determines file organization, indexing methods, and security procedures for system databases. Coordinates conversion and migration of existing (or legacy) databases to next generation DBMS's. Performs basic database administration tasks for operational databases and develops database related software to support applications. EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS: Within the last ten (10) years, eight (8) years direct experience with the activities listed in section SOW 4.1e. Also includes:
. Minimum five (5) years experience writing application software that interacts with databases. . Experience in performing sizing and data modeling for databases operating in a heterogeneous environment. . Able to implement and maintain database security; conduct database performance tuning and monitoring; troubleshoot and resolve database problems/issues; install, configure and upgrade.
Clearance Requirement: An active TS/SCI with Polygraph is required for resume consideration.
