Responsibilities:
We're looking for a senior Java/J2EE web application developer to work within our Global Delivery Organization. The qualified candidate will assist the business unit and application development group to develop new systems and enhance current systems as required. Responsible for architecture, design, development and implementation, this developer will be required to understand both the functional and business side of new and current product offerings. The candidate must be confident, highly motivated and excited working with cutting-edge technology. * Participate in technical design of new system components * Participate in code reviews * Build system components independently * Unit testing * Evaluate new technologies and help determine their applicability to the application * Work on a small team toward delivering a complex enterprise-wide system * New development, customization, and fixing existing code-base * Technical documentation of applications
Qualifications:
* 5+ years development experience * Java/JEE 5 * IBM RAD development tool (if none available – Eclipse would be a must have) * IBM WebSphere/BEA WebLogic/JBoss/GlassFish * Relational Database (Oracle/DB2) * Experience working with Spring/Hibernate – (other Java frameworks a plus) * Experience with the BIRT reporting tool a plus * JMS/IBM MQ experience a plus
