The primary role of Risk Data Analyst is to provide timely technical, analytical and data support to the Risk department to define, test, implement, and maintain strategies and procedures that would assist IMS in growing revenue and profit by developing and maintaining cutting edge loss prevention products and techniques in the target markets we serve. It includes the following major areas of activity: 1. Database design and maintenance a. Identify data sources needed for analysis and decision making b. Develop ETL processes to maintain current data status c. Automate routing procedures 2. Provide Methodology, Data Mining and Analytical capabilities a. Create comprehensive reporting capabilities b. Develop tools that would allow Risk Analysts to access data and perform routine analysis c. Perform complex data analysis and data modeling 3. Work with ES and Production teams to create and implement Risk Management solutions Skills: . Technical Skills: Strong knowledge of SQL Server, VBA, MS Access, Excel . Analytics: Experience in analyzing data, drawing appropriate conclusions, ability to effectively translate statistical findings to business strategies that positively impact the business and customer. . Data Mining Skills: Is comfortable working with big volumes of data, discovering trends and relationships between different pieces of information. . Developer Skills: Can work with Business Intelligence and Reporting applications; automate routine procedures and create tools that increase productivity and efficiency. . Communication and Presentation Skills: Demonstrated persuasive written and verbal communication skills with ability to establish logical flow and story to present complex information in an easy to understand way. . Interpersonal / Team Work Skills: Ability to work well with others, not just at a social level, but by building bridges and sometimes confronting tough issues that need to be resolved for the best of the business. . Personality Traits: High degree of Initiative, Integrity, Outspoken, Driven (while being a team player) and Strong Attention to Detail
Your Talents: Qualifications: . Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or Math . 3+ Years Relevant Work Experience . Advanced skills in SQL Server, VBA, .Net, MS Access and MS Excel . Experience with ETL processes . Prior Experience with Data Analysis
Preferred: . 5+ Years Experience in Payments / Financial Services . Working experience with SQL Server Reporting and Analysis Services
