Summer Interns will set goals/objectives with their managers at the start of the internship, and complete end of summer performance evaluations. Stubhub Data Architecture team is to foster a matureData Managementstrategy. This goal will guide us to develop and implementarchitectures, policies, documentation, best practices and procedures for the enterprise data lifecycle needs at Stubhub. We are seeking a Data Modeler to be part of StubHub Data Architecture team. Responsibilities include the following: • Define, communicate, influence and maintain the data management architecture for StubHub and update the portal with Data Models and Data Dictionary • Work in projects - closely with Tech Architects, Database Developers, Java Developers, Business Analyst, Product and Project Managers to do optimal design for ecommerce application • Define and develop data standards, procedures, guidelines, policies and lifecycles that meet StubHub’s strategic information requirements. • Develop conceptual, logical and physical data model to convert the business requirement to database schema. • Develop and interpret key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the effectiveness of data management processes. • Drive or consult on new technology evaluations that evolve StubHub’s ability to transform data into information and insight. • Help build and evolve StubHub’s data architecture into a world class, cost-effective enterprise data management system • Contribute to architecture best practices and guideline as needed • Data Architecture internal tools development and maintenance This includes data modeling for ecommerce (OLTP) and Data Warehouse (reporting) applications. The candidate must be able to think independently Job Requirements You will also participate in database architecture, strategy sessions to help build for the future. Job will extend to modeling OLAP/DW application and building of Enterprise Data Model and Master Data Management. • Knowledge and passion to be the best. • Current knowledge and experience of industry trends and technology advancements in data management. • Understanding of ETL architectures, data movement technologies and business information systems. • Strong knowledge of logical and physical data modeling for OLTP, DSS and DW data management systems. • Knowledge of any data modeling tool such as ERwin, ER/Studio or PowerDesigner. • Demonstrable analytical and problem solving skills, particularly as it relates to data modeling and enterprise data architecture. • Ability to quickly learn and comprehend existing complex systems infrastructures. • Familiarity with Oracle. • Any knowledge and experience using eBay's or StubHub websites preferred. • Strong oral and written communication and presentation skills • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced, high demand setting. • Curious and capacity to learn new concepts and tasks. • Strong interpersonal skills with highest degree of professionalism. • Ability to work independently and also in a team setting. • Any experience programming data transformation or data focused procedural language preffered • Comfortable understanding UML diagrams. • Strong conceptual and decision-making skills Education Associates Degree or Equivalent
