The Architecture Innovation group contributes to Accenture growth by developing highly skilled architects who drive innovation in areas of emerging technology and who create the initial assets and offerings used by Accenture to deliver projects using these technologies. Job Description: Within TGP, Architecture Innovation is responsible for driving new service offerings and building the initial delivery skills in select areas of emerging technology.  Architecture Innovation professionals are responsible for participating in asset development work, building new skills in emerging areas and working at clients proving and further developing these skills and assets on initial a Platform Architects at the consultant level will primarily be working with emerging data stores, both relational and non-relational.   Data Platform Architects are responsible for being able to implement a complete data platform, including the software data access methods, the database and the infrastructure.  Data Platform Architects will also look at emerging trends in storage access which includes the application of existing high performance distributed file system storage technologies for use by applications in lieu to traditional relational database storage methods.  We are looking for candidates who have a broad set of technology skills across these areas and who can demonstrate an ability to quickly learn and become proficient in new areas of data platform technology.


Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering or Technical Science
• 2 years of experience with data modeling covering conceptual, logical, physical, dimensional models using Erwin or similar tools
• 1 year of development and implementation experience with high performance distributed parallel file system storage technology such as GPFS, GFS, CloudStore,  HDFS or similar.
• 1 year of development and implementation experience with a distributed structured storage technology such as BigTable, Cassandra, Dynamo, or similar NoSQL solution.
• 4 years experience with SQL
• 4 years systems development and implementation experience, including at least 3 of the following tasks:
  • Implementing databases and data access middleware in the context of medium to large systems development projects
  • Infrastructure and storage design for the data tier of a medium to large system
  • Implementation of horizontally scalable data platform using sharding or similar techniques
  • Implementation of ETL, reporting and business intelligence technologies
  • Implementation of high volume batch processing involving large data stores
  • Design and implementation of a medium to large custom application data model

Preferred Skills:

• Previous experience as a DBA on any major RDBMS (DB2, Oracle, SQL Server, MySQL)
• Hands-on experience with ETL (Extract-Transform-Load) and data management software products (e.g Informatica,  Talend)
• Familiarity with: Data Dictionary, Metadata , Meta Data Management (MDM) tools,  OLAP cubes, data governance and enterprise data concepts
• Familiarity with column stores (Sybase IQ, Vertica, VectorWise, MonetDB, ParAccel, Infobright)
• Familiarity with NoSQL data stores
