Daily Responsibilities: The contractor is responsible for the installation, configuration, troubleshooting, and maintenance of database systems. Specific tasks will include database creation, implementation, data loading, replication, backup, partitions, storage access, monitoring and optimizing system performance using index tuning, disk optimization and setting user privileges within the database environment. Include in the implementation will be to debug database stored procedures and complex queries to extract, calculate or manipulate information and test database schemas. The contractor will work closely with the project manager and application developers to integrate and maintain back-end database codes with business applications.
Required: Years of experience:(min) 3-5 Required: Degree None Required: Basic Qualifications Personnel selected for performance in this task must have a minimum of 4 years' experience with skills and expertise in database design, implementation and administration. The contractor must have working experience in Oracle and MS SQL. In addition, the contractor must have a solid understanding of full system development life cycle, federal security, privacy and Section 508 compliance requirements. Required: Travel None Desired: Degree Bachelors Desired: Skills Knowledge and experience with the NIH Enterprise Architecture or database administration certification is a plus.
