We currently have an immediate opening for a Database Analyst/Data Modeler to work in our Raleigh, NC office. This position will be responsible for ongoing design and enhancement of the company's data warehouse. This role with allow you to work in a growing organization on one of the premier software products in the healthcare information systems marketplace. This role will provide a challenging opportunity with outstanding potential for making an impact to the product.
Job Requirements: Database Analyst/Data Modeler will be responsible for: . Develop, document and participate in the technical implementation of portions of the database architecture. . Collaborate with software architects, business analysts and clients to understand client and industry needs and regulatory requirements. . Provide designs that ensure overall system scalability, security, performance, reliability and maintainability. . Create, enhance and enforce database and modeling development standards. . Investigate and recommend database development, modeling and analysis tools. . Provide technical representation internal and external to AllscriptsMisys . Collaborate with software architects to develop and communicate database centric technical overviews, demonstrations, analysis and input to groups internal and external to AllscriptsMisys. . Report status to Product and Operations Managers in accordance with Project plans and Development roadmaps. . Provide support and training to the development staff. . BS degree in Computer Science or Software Engineering. . Skilled in Microsoft tools and technologies SQL Server 2005/2008, Transact SQL language. . Proven skills in database design (logical to physical), implementation, normalization, referential integrity and performance tuning. . Microsoft certification (MCDBA) a plus. . Demonstrated ability to work well with individuals having a full spectrum of technical knowledge. . Excellent communications skills with clients in-house and off shore staff. . Ability to meet deadlines, work efficiently and independently while maintaining high quality standards. . Experience in Healthcare Information systems, specifically medical billing applications a plus. . 5+ years of logical modeling in a Fortune 500 company . 7+ years of database development and administration experience.
