SQL DBA/Developer
The candidate will be a member of a .NET development team. The candidate will act as a liaison between the .NET developers and the Enterprise DBA group. **Very strong communication skills are required.** This is a new position and the candidate will be required to negotiate their role with the DBA team. Candidate will be working with the development team to design the databases and create SSIS packages and stored procedures, triggers, etc. that will be used in the applications being created by the rest of the development team. Candidate will be part of the team troubleshooting production issues that are database or data related. Candidate will also be asked to inventory the existing environment and suggest updates and enhancements that could be implemented. I.e. Converting DTS packages to SSIS, consolidating stored procedures, seeking out redundant data, etc.
Candidate should have 10+ years of experience with SQL Server up to and including SQL Server 2008. Candidate should have a working knowledge of advanced concepts such as partitioning as part of an archiving process. Previous .NET development experience is a plus. Skills: * DB - SQL Apply Below!
