Business Card Title / Posting Title Database Analyst / Programmer Job Summary Job Summary: As a Software Development Engineer in the Release Management and Metrics team, you will be responsible for development of internal database applications and reporting tools to provide business critical analysis information.
Essential Functions: A major part of your responsibility will be to develop and support the Release Management and reporting applications. . Design, development and associated peer-reviews . Code development and code reviews . Testing (unit, system and integration) . Reliability, scalability and performance analysis and improvements . Patch releases and Sustaining . Working in a cross-functional environment with key partners from Engineering and Information Technology . Provide pro-active and re-active operational support to both internal and external users of database applications and reporting tools . A willingness to work on additional tasks and responsibilities that contribute towards team, department, and company goals Job Requirements Requirements: . 4-5 years experience in Oracle Tech stack ( PLSQL, DB Triggers, Proc/Funcs, External Tables etc) and Unix background . Atleast 5 years of experience in ETL process in DW projects. . Experience in Database design and performance tuning techniques . Experience in any one ETL tools is desirable . Strong hands-on DWH technologies, processes and concepts . Excellent analytical, problem solving and communication (written and verbal) skills . A strong desire and aptitude for learning new technologies . Ability to work in a fact paced, self-directed, action-oriented environment Education and Experience Education & Experience: A minimum of 5 years of experience in application development is required. 5-7 years of experience is preferred. A Bachelor of Science Degree in Computer Science or Electronics or Electrical Engineering or, a Master Degree, or a PhD; or equivalent experience is required. Demonstrated ability to have completed multiple, moderately complex technical tasks.
