Position Description: * · Support FDIC’s Examiner Tool Suite (ETS) software development efforts by providing database design development * · Performs analyses and studies, enhances or implements database design solutions, performs performance and load testing and acceptance phases. * · Responsible for preliminary design evaluation and analysis of databases that will be deployed into the FDIC Examiner SAGE and ALERT production environments * · May lead or participate in assessment meetings with POC, clients, application analysts and management to discuss database requirements, design reviews, identify technical issues, licensing, test development, additional implementation requirements, deployment strategy and schedules. * · Identify and determine a plan and design how databases should be customized, configured, installed, backed up, recovered, maintained and updated in accordance with the clients’ requirements, into the FDIC’s production environment * · Work within the Windows Presentation Foundation (WPF) for the new user interfaces. * Responsible for providing technical support for database environments, including testing and installation of DBMS, upgrades & patches * May be required to participate in tool evaluation, integration and support
