Responsibilities / Responsabilités . Responsible for providing technical leadership and know-how to mentor the application services team in designing solutions, while working closely with the businesses to understand requirements and advise on technical solutions and feasibility . Responsible for identifying opportunities for improvement and makes constructive suggestions for change . Responsible for Database Administration . Responsible for SharePoint Administration . Responsible for designing and maintenance of OLAP and relational data and ensuring high levels of data availability and accuracy . Responsible for designing, developing, supporting interfaces to integrate heterogeneous data sources . Responsible for programming SQL Server MSAS, SSIS, T/SQL, Stored Procedures . Responsible for architecting and designing Internet applications in a Windows NT/2000/2003 server environment using IIS, , C#, Visual Basic, Java, C++, or any .NET language . Review and analyze existing applications effectiveness and efficiency, and then develop strategies for improving or leveraging these systems. . Implement & Administer MS SharePoint, company Portal, intranet, and Internet applications. . Develops and maintains a comprehensive application configuration database/library of all supporting documentation. . Provide inputs to the IMS budget and manage expenses within approved budget level . Evolving and stewarding systems, data architecture and application development as well as be accountable for building and developing best practices in data modelling, data access layer design, web services architecture, and enterprise content management . Assess need for any system reconfigurations (minor or significant) and execute them if required. . Conduct research on emerging products, services, protocols, and standards in support of systems software procurement and development efforts. . Work directly with Technical Services to ensure recoverability & availability. . Develop, implement and maintain policies, procedures and associated training plans for system administration and appropriate use. . Establish service level agreements with end users. . Recommend, schedule, and perform software improvements, upgrades, and/or purchases. . Manage and/or provide guidance to junior members of the team.
Requirements / Exigences . Bachelor's degree (in Computer Science or Management Information Systems) or equivalent MCSE, MCSA, CCNA an asset. . 7+ years related experience. . Strong Experience with Windows NT/2000/2003 server environment using IIS, , C#, Visual Basic, Java, C++, or any .NET language. . Experience in ASP environment is a must. . SharePoint MOSS 2010 experience an asset. . MS SQL & RDBMS experience an asset. . Data modelling and object-oriented development experience as well as proven experience with object persistence methodologies and application deployment a plus. . Proven knowledge of authentication, middleware platforms, and message queuing systems as well as excellent analytical skills and the ability to translate business requirements to system/application solutions a plus. . Proven experience in application tuning and database tuning in a highly transactional Internet environment a plus.
