Duties & Responsibilities The Database Architect (DBA) is responsible for providing database administration, design, and programming support for LitePoint Operations organization. The qualified candidate must have 10+ years of MS SQL & MySQL database administration, design, and development experience with large data sets ( >100 million records) in a production / manufacturing environment.

We are looking for a seasoned, senior database architect to provide technical expertise in large database design, optimization, and development of production applications. You will work directly with Operations / Manufacturing staff to assess & evaluate system and data integration requirements in our production processes. You will develop SQL programs and use data analysis tools for data warehouse extraction, data analysis / visualization, and management reporting.

You will provide technical support and database expertise to stakeholders throughout the design, development, implementation, and testing phases of SDLC. In addition to technical know-how, project management and good communication skills are required for the success of this role.


Responsibilities:
. Perform MS SQL Server and MySQL database administration for LitePoint Operations
. Architect data schema and processes required for large data integration & extraction between production systems at different physical locations.
. Perform database optimization and enhance data model designs for reports and dashboards requiring large data volume.
. Design and implement processes and develop SQL programs for data ETL between remote sites and disparate systems
. Document database architecture, data models, and integration process.
. Perform production data analysis and develop programs for data conversation and integration based on stakeholders' requirements
. Provide database and programming support to Business Development department for customer-facing application development as required
. Implement and enforce system and database security
. Provide 24/7 support for critical issues related of production and shipments
Basic Qualifications, Experience, Skills & Education Required Requirements:
. BS Degree in Computer Science, Business Administration, Information Technology or related field.
. 10+ years of database administration, design, and programming with strong understanding of database structures, theories, principles, and practices
. 5+ years of experience in manufacturing production environment and hands-on data modeling / design experience with large volume of data
. Must have expert-level knowledge and hands-on experience with MySQL, MS SQL Server 2005, 2008. Must have in-depth knowledge with all aspects MS SQL server database administration
. Must have expert-level knowledge and hands-on experience with T-SQL and able to develop complex queries without outside technical assistance.
. Must have proven experience with data migration, ETL, designing database architecture and scaling / optimizing databases
. Must have proven experience with data warehouse design and implementation
. Must have proven experience with multi-dimensional database design and implementation
. Must have knowledge to suggest new database technologies and ability to incorporate security procedures and encryption rules to the databases
. Must have strong analytical skills and understanding of statistical analysis. Must have the ability to quickly grasp, evaluate user requirements and provide viable solution proposals
. Must have knowledge of other scripting languages (e.g. PHP, Perl, Python, Ruby), PHP strongly preferred
. Must be an excellent communicator and able to interface with users at all levels of the company
. Must have proven experience in process design and documentation and strong project management skills

Technical Skills:
. Required: expert-level MS SQL Server 2005, 2008 and MySqL database design, programming, and administration
. Required: expert-level database monitoring and optimization in both RDBMS and multi-dimensional databases
. Required: one or more scripting / programming languages (PHP, Perl, Python, Ruby etc.)
. Desirable: MS SQL Analysis and Reporting Servcies
. Desirable: Microsoft SharePoint, NAV ERP, and SalesForce development experience
. Desirable: Microsoft Visual Studio development
. Desirable: IBM Cognos TM1 administration and development experience
. Desirable: Tableau data visualization and dashboard tool
