Minimum Qualifications: ----------------------- The Key Person must have the following minimum qualifications: ? Nine or more years of database architecture and administration experience; ? Extremely competent in: specific database systems, database management design specifications, complicated and unique database management software applications, data modeling, and design configuration; ? Good verbal and written communication skills; ? Attention to detail; problem solving ability; ? Ability to deliver high quality work; ? Must be able to work independently as well as collaboratively.
This Work includes but is not limited to the following: ------------------------------------------------------- ? Performing logical and physical data modeling in support of program business objectives; ? Creating and maintaining multiple database schemas and objects (stored procedures, queries, triggers, indexes, etc); ? Working closely with the data analysts and other technical staff in defining the optimal database design; ? Creating and managing the physical data models for the program; ? Managing the physical database environments for the Program; ? Monitoring and tuning the performance of physical databases; ? Working with the Agency data management group for managing the backup and recovery process for physical databases to meet the business requirements of the program; ? Participating in the testing and implementation of the database management system; ? Writing extract, transform, and load (ETL) scripts to convert data from one release to another; ? Coordinating data loading activities; ? Generating test data; ? Creating and maintain user accounts and rights; ? Optimizing queries; ? Configuring and troubleshooting various database related issues; ? Participating in quality and testing processes as necessary; ? Providing training and knowledge transfer to staff for the purposes of Client long-term maintenance; ? Providing information and guidance in a manner that makes technical and non-technical material understandable to business representatives to ensure the approved requirements will achieve business objectives; ? Working with identified technical and subject matter experts to solve system and process issues; and ? Reporting any project release delays or issues to management.
