AvayaGov specializes in the acquisition, design, engineering, evaluation, and development of advanced IT systems and data communications networks for information systems and applications. Our long tradition of success is attributable to the bright, driven professionals at AvayaGov. Avaya Government Solutions has an opening for a DB2 Database Developer located in Washington, DC. The right candidate may be permitted to work remotely. Employees working remotely may be required to travel to the customer location several times each year. We are looking for a DB2 Database Developer or DB2 Database Administrator to assist us in developing a new Case Management System (CMS) to greatly improve the effectiveness and efficiency of a strategic system used by our Federal Government customer. The web based application will be utilizing J2EE and Websphere with a DB2 database. The contract is anticipated to be 5 years if all option periods are exercised. Requirements Minimum Education/Experience:Bachelor's Degree or equivalent with 10-12 years of experience designing and implementing relational data base solutions in mid-to-large IT System modernization efforts. Qualifications: - Extensive (and recent) experience in designing and implementing tables within a DB2 database. -Experience with supporting databases in an IBM Websphere environment - Experience in developing logical and physical data models using data modeling tools such as Rational Data Architect or Erwin. - Good communication skills – both written and verbal Preferred skills: - Experiencesupporting relational databases in an environment utilizing SOA design and J2EE. - Security Clearance: Ability to obtain NACI US Citizenship or US Legal Resident required.
