Description of Position: This position is for a system engineers to provide Front Line Engineering/Tier 2 support. This includes monitoring and improving monitoring of these systems; responding to and ensuring resolution of operational issues reported by site personnel, 24X7 Monitoring centers, Tier 1 support, dataflow groups to improve stability and supportability.

Required Experience: * 3 years experience with relational database * 3 years experience writing complex SQL queries using Outer Joins, embedded queries, and the Oracle LISTAGG function * 3 years experience trouble shooting system and application level issues * Customer interface experience exemplifying oral and written communications * Experience creating and maintaining monitoring alert scripts written in SQL * Working knowledge of Python scripting * Demonstrated ability to identify system defects and suggest enhancements * Demonstrated experience working on large scalable applications * Must be comfortable working in either Windows or Linux based environments Desired Experience: * Experience with the COTS ZENOSS product * Experience with Oracle 10 or higher * Good working knowledge of Linux/Unix and scripting (sh, bash, perl, and other scripting tools/language); * Experience executing test cases Education:
Bachelor's Degree in Communications Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Information Systems, Mathematics or similar degree and meet the experience requirement or equivalent documented combination of training and experience.
