| Seeking a senior DBA to support the following requirements: Create physical database designs Operate and administer the database management system (DBMS) including database optimization, performance tuning, backup and recovery. Requirements: The Database Administrator / Business Intelligence Specialist will report to the Manager of Project Delivery, Public Safety Delivery Unit and be responsible for the following: Migration, testing and implementing of remaining ETL (Extraction, Translation & Loading) processes relative to the ADDAS solution from existing to new production environment. Maintain the existing ADDAS solution/processes until the new production environment is completely implemented. Document and provide transfer of knowledge of system configuration, maintenance & support to IT staff. Deliverables: Evaluate/Develop/Maintain monitoring and error notification processes to ensure data is updated as expected Evaluate/Develop/Maintain automation extraction, cleansing and load scripts Generate research models and reports (scheduled and ad-hoc) Provide feedback and make recommendations/implement processes to get corrupt data fixed in the source systems, including identifying data cleanliness issues (e.g. missing values, duplicate meanings, and invalid data) Conduct troubleshooting and analysis to support data-warehousing and reporting objectives in particular Monitor services and performance of relevant databases/data warehouse, Identify issues as they may occur, make recommendations for repair/correction/prevention and implement approved recommendations. Conduct troubleshooting and analysis to support data-warehousing and reporting objectives in particular Work with the broader PSD staff, including ARIS II Project Team where applicable to acquire information to support/guide assignment tasks. Provide technical leadership, expertise and support to the Data Management staff in the provisioning of reports, data and assistance with incidents/problems management tickets from the EHSB client area. At the completion of the project, provide the client with well-written, clearly understood system configuration, maintenance and other technical documentation.
