Overall Accountabilities:
The Deposit Servicing project team requires an IT Lead, whose main responsibility is to ensure technical support required for this project is provided and IT teams are properly engaged. This position is also responsible for pre and post client sales engineering assistance and for general advice on technology optimization with the vendors, internal stakeholders.

General Role & Responsibilities:

• Provide IT strategy, guidance and implementation assistance to Deposit Servicing business leadership
• Analyze and recommend strategies to leverage new or existing technologies and technical investments by identifying strategic use or re-use opportunities for IT components (built or purchased) to increase profitability and ensure technical assets are effectively and efficiently utilized.
• Lead and/or consult with clients/prospects to assist integration and boarding
• Analyze, design, develop, and maintain infrastructure and/or application architecture plans and strategies to meet the technical and business needs of the organization.
• Provide Business Unit leadership counsel on IT and project best practices
• Identify and manage internal and external IT project resources to affect timely and cost effective delivery of Business Unit objectives
• Create efficient and effective software development environments. This may include, but is not limited t methodologies, tools, templates, standards, etc.
• Collect and analyze application statistics to evaluate the use of IT assets.
• Provides operational support to Deposit Services, Data Centre and Temenos as required.
• Develop and implement appropriate IT infrastructure practices across multiple operating systems and hardware platforms.
• Effectively assimilate new technology into the company's product offerings and/or technical environment that aligns with organizational goals and objectives.
• Perform feasibility analysis on potential future projects for existing products (software development or other technical initiatives). Build and evaluate models that determine future investment strategies and capability deficiencies. Such models may include: data, behavioral and/or technical.
• Collect, consolidate and ensure all assigned project and/or architecture-related documentation is in compliance with standards upon the completion of project initiatives.
• Develop and maintain architecture models to document and enhance the understanding of applications (both current and future). Mentor project teams in the development and maintenance of such models.
• Develop and maintain re-useable software components or frameworks that provide an infrastructure for application development.
• Develop and prototype proof-of-concept initiatives to illustrate technical and/or business viability.
• Facilitate and develop course materials for architecture-related topics.
• Lead and/or consult with project team members on architecture transformation projects. Accountabilities for this task will most likely cross functional boundaries requiring the coordination and/or oversight of more than one technical discipline.
• Oversee adherence to and compliance with IT policies and standards. Ensure company products are built with approved technologies, adhere to appropriate security standards, and can be affordably supported after implementation.
• Participate in and/or lead post-implementation process reviews.
• Review requirements, designs, and/or application code for project teams to ensure appropriate architectural direction and standards are met while achieving business objectives.
• Preference for candidates with strong understanding of IFDS development methodologies, systems and data center practices.

• Four year, post-secondary education in a computer-related discipline (eg, Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Management Information Systems, Mathematics, Engineering, etc.)
• More than 10 years IT-related experience demonstrating a basic knowledge of architecture principles, methodologies, and techniques. Proficient knowledge in multiple applicable programming languages and technologies preferred.

• Experience in data modelling and able to create and maintain large data model
• Knowledge and experience working in within full software development project life cycle
• Recognized proficiency, developed through a combination of academic education, training and extensive working experience in several of the following disciplines of technology and application systems integration is required.
